Find practical ways to feel better

Being a human is hard.

Really hard! When we're struggling, it can be really hard to see why. And even when we can see what we should be doing, why is it so hard to do it?!

We tie ourselves in knots. It's not our fault (pun intended), but we can choose to take a step towards change. My job is to help you do that.

I spent 20 years working at Apple doing complicated, intense and often high-pressure stuff. Those experiences inform how I relate to clients today. Now I work with all kinds of people, struggling with stress, anxiety, trauma, relationships, addiction, career issues, and the general stuff of life.

Untie the knots

Together, we can find practical ways for you to feel better for the long-term. It's really important to know that some of what troubles us is stored beyond our every day consciousness, deep in our nervous system, and can pop up in very unexpected ways.

Nowadays we have extremely effective ways to work on those knots. Talk therapy helps bring about change through our conscious processing systems (our most recently evolved apparatus). Somatic therapies (like Brainspotting) help change the way our nervous system reacts to the world (our most ancient apparatus). Quick and powerful results come from using both approaches together.

Am I a good fit?

I'm often a good fit for clients who are looking for a goal orientated, compassionate-but-direct approach to  change.  I am a good therapist for clients looking to understand the roots of their issues, and when ready, work to reprocess and reframe them. I'm also well suited to men dealing with the complexities of modern life and bring  a non-judgmental male perspective to our work together.

If that seems interesting, I'd love to hear from you! Contact me chris@chrisjinkstherapy.com to schedule a quick consultation. No strings attached.

No therapist is a perfect  fit for everyone. The best way to find out if we should work together is to have a quick video meeting
